What is thet least drying semi-permenant hair dye out there?

I have dark blond hair that is brassy from well water. It is rather dry but I never heat style or color it. I want to dye it a beachy blond. Do they sell lightners without peroxide? What would be the least drying? Am I better off getting it professionally done? And my hair won't fall out, will it? I'm 34. My hair has always been blond but lately is getting darker. It's also dry and I blame that on smoking and a rather poor diet, is that possible? What hair care line of products do you recommend? My hair has always been my best feature so I don't want to ruin it! And when would it be safe to perm after coloring it or is this just all too damaging???? THANKS!

I really wouldn't perm your hair, it is so bad for it. If you already have dry hair. As for dying it, I would go get a trim just to get all the split ends off first. You could get it done at a salon, but it is expensive. There are good dyes out there. Loreal are the ones I use. I myself get dry hair. I don't however buy the cheapest dyes in there line, to me they are cheap for a reason.

I use the Feria light blonde and the Couleur Experte (toasted coconut), this one is awesome, and you get highlights also. As for the diet thing, I think your right, and I'm also guilty of that. Use products made for colortreated hair. Again spending a little more money will get better results. Matrix has a good colortreated hair line. Shampoos, conditioners, etc. Pantene is also good.

errrm. . . .as far as I'm aware, you cant lighten your hair permanently without peroxide. the best brand for bleaching your hair is Bblond, i use it all the time when i dye my hair red. but i think that if you want it semi-permanent, you can buy sprays that temporarily lighten your hair.xx
