Don't dye it blonde... Most of the time, when dark-haired girls dye their hair blonde it looks really fake. You should grow it out though, I really like the look of long hair. Just make sure that you keep the ends trimmed and neat. Just because you are going to grow it out doesn't mean that you can't cut it. Just a few inches off every 4-5 months to keep it fromm getting messy.

The hell with your brother. Do what you want to do. Nobody else. Sure it's great to get opinions on things, but not a brother, believe me.

well it all depends on how you want your hair style to be... if you want to change it to a layered look then i personally like blonde or even just a Carmel colored highlights
