The healthiest way would to get lemon juice and go outside in the sun and put the lemon juice on your hair and it should bleach your hair.

you can go to sally's beaty supply and get the same poroducts the stylists use for very little money. and if you are doing all over color...very easy to do.

highlights are a little more work but if you trust that you know what you are doing you can do it at home./

When you look for color at the store don't buy anything with the word Golden or red tones.

That is what my stylist told me.

Lorell is the best brand

simple old peroxide, fresh lemon juice and salt and about 1/2 hour in the sun. does a great job.

The best way to answer this question is just get it done by the pros. I should know- I am one. No matter what your hair is always going to get orange if it has before, it depends on your hair color, if it is already colored, what condition your hair is in, and many other reasons. Trust me it is better to go in and get it done because if you mess it up its going to cost a lot more to get it fixed. Corrective color take a lot of time, knowledge and money. In the salon I work in color correction usually starts out at $125 depending on how much there is to fix. Talk to your stylist about what you want to do and how much you are willing to spend. If you have a good stylist she/he will be willing to work with you price wise if you are a client of his/hers.

Most hair stylists do not shop at Sally's because it is open to the public and because we have our distributors who have better products.

And never use peroxide and lemon juice because then you will def. be in the salon to get it fixed.

You and I have the same problem! I have not found anything for home use that will keep the brassiness out. If I dye it a darker ash blond, it will stay for a while, but eventually turns that gawd-awful orange again. I have finally found a colorist who can get the brass out, but it is expensive! She has to take all the color out, then put on an ash toner. Then, the toner fades.

Oh, one thing that helps is a product by Clairol called Shimmer Lights. You can get it at Sally's.

Wish you the best of luck. I hope somebody on here can help. I could sure use the advice.
