My hair is dyed black but i want it blond, how can i get it blond and not orange?

I have black dyed hair and want it blond, when I have tried this in the past, my hair turns out orange and if I keep bleaching it, it is so fried that it feels like gum and starts breaking and falling out. Please let me know if there is a way to do this without those results.

If black was the last color you've had in your hair then you may be able to go to a professional and have the color stripped from your hair, leaving you with your natural color. If your natural color is anything lighter than black then it will most likely be okay to bleach it and dye your hair blonde OVER the bleach. Bleach on any color hair never really comes out as planned FYI.. you'll get the best results with using an actualy hair dye. Another FYI.. by using this many chemicals on your hair at once you'll be causing some major hair damage, and you'll be possibly losing a little more hair than normal, it will go away however, but for the best alternative, (a little more costly) don't do this whole process yourself, you should have a professional do it for you. go get it corrected at a salon. it might be expensive but you will damage your hair if you keep doing what you're doing

its a slow process but its the best way. you high light your hair lighter and lighter and lighter. but make sure to wait about two weeks before you add more highlights. and to nourish your hair. k. goodluck

i don't know in what state you live but in tucson arizona go to a beauty salon they will help, or you could start by putting it brownish and then blond it worked with my cousin

Oh thats horrible! You should get proffesional help to ensure that your hair will be treated properly. Go to a salon and have your hair died (or highlighted all over) the color that you want. They will care for your hair in the healthiest way possible!

whatever you do do not dye it blonde! i did it when mine was dark brown and it turned ginger. (no offence to ginger haired peopel) but you need to go to the hair dressers and get it stripped or wait until it washes out if its semi permanent and also stop straightening it or curling it if it's fried. you will end up like me where you have bad split ends and everytime you brush your hair, hairs fall out. =[ Hope i was helpful

well my sister has really dark hair like you...hers is black..she once dyed in blonde..but first you do have to bleach it..you dnt want to bleachit alot or it will damage your hair..just do it once..then wait a few days and then dye it blonde...the reason it goes orange is because your hair is so dark and you are trying to dye it a liter color

If you have the money go to the salon and tell them what you want and they will strip it for you. And if not i saw an add a few days ago for something lorel makes and it is suppose to take out the color without messing your hair up and you can redye it the same do. Just search it on the internet to find the name of it. It should be at walgreens or your local beauty store

3)blue ultra hair bleach

4)cholesteral hair treamnet 'again'

5)at the "orange stage"use a blonde (lightest you can get)hair color
