hzl eyes BTW I am not looking for somebody on her just asking your opinion. 185 LBS, confident when it comes to that which I am familar with. I tend to keep friends for a long time unless they decieve me in a huge way. I have been single for 4 years since I got my heart broken by my first love (high school sweetheart) she took my virginity (literally) after we broke up too. I am basically over her but am aprehensive to date because of the reasons of why we broke up! I don't ever even wanna see her again, I simply hope the best for her in life!
The circumstances of our breaking up was basically that she wanted to settle down and think about forever and I wasn't anywhere near ready for that. Are there girls out there that simply don't wanna trap men into children and long-term committed relationships or is that the goal? I am still bitter about this and when I see a girl that I think is pretty or cute I look down because I am not prepared for long term hearbreak again.suggestions

I completely understand..and I think you should take it easy for right now. You cant go looking for love, you have to let love find you first. Once heartbroken, you can never turn back....which is sad actuallu. My first bf, who i dated all through high school, is letting a 5 yr. friendship just go to waste....
So-I think you have a wonderful personality, and 4 yrs.-well thats a long time. You need to gain your confidence back though...but still remain strong on the inside. It will take time..but in the end you'll find someone..someone whos better

Most college girls are looking for a fun relationships, not a lifetime commitment. Get back out there because once we hit our 25 or so, we definitely start thinking more about long term commitments!
However -- if you feel bitter just seeing a cute girl after four years, you might need some counseling. Since you're in college, call your campus health center today and ask about talking to someone.

dependin on the age of the woman most older girls are looking for something long term and with commitment. why would a girl waste her time having a fling for a few weeks when she cab be lookinf for a life partner. I think u just need to grow up and be more mature. If ur looking for flings then ur best bet would be to go after younger woman that are looking for the same thing u r.

You need to get back out there. Just start dating casually (nothing serious).You are still really young and shouldn't get tied down to one girl yet. Date a bunch of girls and have fun thats what the 20's are all about. Just let the chickies know up front you don't want a serious relationship right now.

Honestly, there are some girls that just like to sleep around...but those girls aren't really that great. There are a few girls your age that just want a casual realtionship. But by the time girls get to be your age, they are just finishing up college and are looking to settle down. My suggestion is just find a girl that you like and then see where it takes you. You may find that once you meet the right girl you will be ready to settle down. Good Luck!

You need to give Love another go.And No not all women are after marriage and children etc etc. We just want a companion and best friend to share our lives with first! Once all of those things are in place then yes we would want to settle down on condition that the other person is on the same bus!! Don't give up all that it means was that she was not "The One"!
